From the Beached website.....
"Ed died on Saturday (2 June), and his
death has come as a massive shock to
us all. He was the production manager
of BEACHED, and since the very start
back in 2001 gave his all to the festival.
Last year he was not only a crucial part
of the Beached Academy’s success but
he also, as always, made sure that the
festival on the beach ran smoothly from
start to finish.
Anyone who was fortunate enough to
know Ed will have a story to tell about
him. It’s difficult not to resort to
clichés, but he was a true character,
and he’ll be remembered by us all for
his warmth and friendship, and for the
commitment he always showed to his
music, his friends and his family."
Ed was also of course lead singer with
local band This Garden and one of the
instigators of the recent Falcon
Festival. He was a top bloke so let's
raise loads of dosh for his family. If you
can't make it on the night and want to
make a donation go and see Steve in
Mojos. Come down if you can though -
even if you didn't know Ed personally.
With that line up it's sure to be a
cracking night!
