SOME HIGHLIGHTS

Here are a few highlights to watch out for at this year's "Local Live Love-In"

*Anytime - A female fronted Local Sixth Form Band, who will be performing their stunningly brilliant and highly praised and critically acclaimed original material that's guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and get you to your feet.  Rumour has it they've already been approached by several record labels...so a contract and an appearance on Top of the Pops can't be too far away...the band are as follows....

Rachel - singer - keeps the boys in order!

Cocker - mad experimental guitar

JOE - the king of Slap Bass

Andy - funky/crazy ben folds piano

Tom - THE Drummer

*Throughout the evening tracks from local artist's CDs will be played, highlights of which will be numbers from Scarborough's latest export "Trundleduck" who have recently returned from a sell out tour of Europe.

*Exclusive Johnsy sound sculptures will be performed in public for the first time!!!!

*Stephen McGreal will be travelling all the way from Leeds to take part, he's got a full set of original material that includes varied lyrics about everyday necrophilia....

*Last Year Re:Born played us out with a virtual performance, this year we get the reality of several racks of synths an electric guitar and in the flesh musicians as well as more visuals than you can shake a light sabre at!

*Oli Banks will be debuting his latest material as a solo artist, he tends to under-rate himself but don't be fooled by his self pity, he has a unique style and an ever present cheshire cat grin that will win you over...no problem!

*Matt Dunn returns to the "Local Live Love-In" after an absence of a couple of years...since last time we had the pleasure he's written many a fresh new tune and been involved with a couple of bands. Come along and watch him give birth!

*Manfat Voodoo return for the second year running....well, standing and sitting....They've just released their Triple album box set...they'll be performing an acoustic set of the latest and greatest material...with lyrics about going trapanning along the transpennine you just can't fail!

*The mysterious Brown Bear will be making a rare guest appearance, get your iSpy spotters book out!

*Last year sixfootdaze took the "Local Live Love-In" by storm, last week they played with Parisman, this week they play to the world.....

*After this year's "Local Live Love-In" Scarborough hard gigging rockers Puritan will be travelling south to play Guilfest alongside Paul Weller and Echo & the Bunnymen.

*Fuzzgun Sniper will play the "Local Live Love-In" LIVE for the first time since their infamous rock'n'roll moment of a couple of years ago.... This year they've got the son of God on their side in the form of their latest CD EP entitled "Jesus Christ and Rock'n'Roll"

*Scarborough's Newest Local online Record label called http://shithotrecords.co.uk will be attending and showcasing some of the locally recorded downloads you are able to get from their fantastic website. It's a free service open to all local bands to sign up to and take advantage of...go take a look and get involved with it NOW! 

*It could be you!...As always, the line up is subject to last minute alteration, so if you're a musician and want to play then just turn up with your instrument, voice or drum sticks and be ready to step up and grab the mic when it's left unattended....you never know your luck!

*Doors open 5:30pm first act on 6pm last act on 12am
